What time is check-in/check-out?
Check in: 4pm. Check out: 10.30am.
What's the cancellation policy?
Cancel more than 60 days before arrival for a full deposit refund. Cancellations between 30–60 days receive a 50% deposit refund. Within 30 days of check-in, the booking is non-refundable. Ideal if your plans are mostly set but you still appreciate moderate flexibility.
Is there parking?
Yes, we offer ample free parking on our premises.
What facilities do you have for cooking?
We can organise breakfasts, lunches, dinners for you or you can use the industrial kitchen yourselves to cook up a storm. You have full access to the professional stainless steel kitchen. This large modern kitchen is fully fitted with fridge, freezer, oven, gas hob, microwave oven, 3 minute dishwasher, hand mixer, 2 sinks and more than enough work surfaces for a team of cooks. Also equipped with appropriate size saucepans, knives and everything else required to cook for up to 30 guests. Hotel quality glassware, crockery and cutlery also available.
What are the advantages of staying in a guesthouse?
A guesthouse in Ireland usually means it's owner managed so you get to meet the owners who often become long life friends and who will enjoy spending time with you chatting and planning the best places to visit during your stay. You aren't just a guest in a large establishment with a huge staff turnover. You become a special guest with each member of staff remembering you and often addressing you by your first name. Bedrooms are as comfortable and as nicely decorated as hotel bedrooms. Guesthouses like hotels and unlike B&Bs are always open which means you have a key to come and go as you like during your stay. Guesthouses are private houses so after a busy day exploring, or a delicious meal and a drink in one of the many fine restaurants in town, you come through the front doors of Donegal Manor and always return to a peaceful environment.
Is there laundry service?
We have available a fully fitted laundry room for guests booking out the entire property. The laundry room is conveniently located next to the bedrooms on the 1st floor.
Can I smoke in the room?
All rooms are strictly non-smoking as is the building itself.
How far away are you from wedding venues?
We are perfectly located for guests attending local weddings. Both Harvey's Point Country Hotel and Lough Eske Castle are just 15 minutes by car. Both Abbey and Central Hotel also just 7 minutes away. Taxis are available if you prefer not to drive.
Do you cater for different food allergies and dietary needs?
We always have gluten free options and vegetarian options available at breakfast time. We always like to make sure each and every guest is catered for so please let us know in advance if you have other special dietary needs.
Can you arrange taxis to and from Donegal Manor?
Yes, there are several taxi firms in the area and all are familiar with Donegal Manor. Please contact us directly by email for names of taxi companies and prices if you require pick up from airports or bus terminal.
Can I hold a Wedding or Event at Donegal Manor?
Yes of course. Donegal Manor can accommodate up to 40 guests in a total of 14 bedrooms both sleeping and celebrating a wedding or another type of event. There is ample space outside to hire a marquee if your numbers are above 40 guests. There is a surcharge for guests who are not staying in the Manor and are attending a wedding or an event at the Manor. Can I bring a pet?
Sadly we do not allow pets to stay as there are open fields with sheep behind the Manor. There is a good pet kennels not too far away from Donegal Manor. Contact details on request.
Are children allowed stay in Donegal Manor?
As grandparents ourselves we love to meet children of all ages. We have a large number of very comfortable family bedrooms with one special facility — a king size bed for parents or indeed grandparents, for we know a good night's sleep for everyone means a great day ahead.
Can I change my reservation?
We try to be flexible but some plans and bookings made through specific channels are beyond our control and cannot be changed. Please contact your booking channel for further information.
