Full access to our professional kitchen — gas hob, ovens, work surfaces, crockery and equipment for 30+. Big enough for the whole family to get involved.

Or let our chef handle it

Our professional chef can prepare a full Christmas dinner, breakfasts, and anything else. Dietary requirements catered for. You just sit down and enjoy it.

Fireplace and cosy spaces

A real fireplace in the lounge, quiet corners with books, space for board games and card games. The kind of Christmas you remember.

No closing time

The property is exclusively yours. Midnight Mass, late-night chats by the fire, Christmas morning in your pyjamas. No other guests, no schedule, no rush.

Donegal in winter

Crisp walks along Rossnowlagh beach, Donegal Castle, the Craft Village for last-minute gifts, and the Bluestack Mountains dusted with frost.

Perfect house for a large group, very comfortable full commercial kitchen, large bedrooms. Hosts were amazing, had the house nice and toasty with fire on, milk, tea, coffee and mince pies supplied on our arrival. Will definitely be back.

Christmas Week at the Manor

What Christmas looks like here

Christmas Eve. The fire is lit. Kids are running between rooms. Someone is peeling potatoes in the kitchen while someone else is pretending to help. The smell of mulled wine drifts through the house. Christmas morning — stockings, pyjamas, a big breakfast, nobody rushing anywhere. Stephen's Day, wrapped up warm on Murvagh beach or a gentle walk in the Bluestacks. No logistics. No driving. Everyone together.

A Donegal Winter

Things to do between the meals

Donegal in December is quiet, beautiful, and yours to explore.

Rossnowlagh & Murvagh beaches

Bracing winter walks on empty sand. Rossnowlagh for the drama, Murvagh for the peace. Both within 20 minutes.

Donegal Castle

A 15th-century castle right in town. Kids love it, adults learn something, everyone gets a photo.

Donegal Craft Village

Independent shops and workshops — pottery, jewellery, weaving. Perfect for last-minute gifts or a morning wander.

Bluestack Mountains

Gentle walks or proper hikes, depending on the energy. Frost on the peaks, silence in the valleys. On the doorstep.

Pubs and live music

Traditional pubs in Donegal Town with live trad sessions over the Christmas period. A 3-minute drive from the Manor.

Slieve League cliffs

Among the highest sea cliffs in Europe. Spectacular in winter light. About 45 minutes by car.
