My husband and I and our friends stayed at Donegal Manor for a night and loved it. The breakfast in the morning was truly outstanding - the best we had while we were in Ireland! We would definitely stay again.

We stayed at the Donegal Manor for a long weekend, and it was easy to see why it is far and away the best B&B in Donegal. It would be hard to better it for comfort, cleanliness, friendliness and a fabulous breakfast too.

Hi, my name is Sian ( pronounced Shan) and I am a qualified and experienced Home Economics teacher for over 25 years, more recently owner manager of the award winning Donegal Manor in Donegal Town, Co. Donegal Ireland
Since leaving teaching to run my guesthouse I have been busy establishing a very comfortable, personable guesthouse experience for our guests. I welcome each and every one of our guests from all over the world. Michael and myself have met some fascinating people in our time here in Donegal Manor, some we are still in contact with. All have made us the people we are today.
Donegal Manor is built on land once owned by Michael’s wonderful late Mum, Josephine and her dad before that, John Murphy. The farmyard they once lived in, is just up the lane. The building where we are now was once outbuildings to the farm. John Murphy bought the land in the early 1900’s after becoming a very wealthy land lord in Georgia America.
On his return he soon met and married, raised a young family but as was the time in Ireland in the late 20’s and 30’s tragedy came his way many times. There is a lot to write into our family history books and we have recalled them to many of our interested visitors. Indeed we have also heard many wonderful stories from our guests - and hope to hear from many more.

Magnificent Manor…excellent king sized bed in the room, with plenty of space and a very fresh bathroom with great shower. Will definitely be back!!

Everyone at the hotel was made to feel like a welcomed member of their family and not just a guest. Sian, her husband and two sons are absolutely charming and courteous. They engage with all their guests showing real interest with an amazing Irish welcome.

Rooms were spotless and comfortable, food excellent. Fab location, customer service was second to none. If ever I got inspiration to start up my own B&B, it was here… PERFECTION!!

A wonderful experience. The staff were very welcoming (tea and porter cake on our arrival!) and helpful. It was very good value for money.
